# Import any Solana Wallet

How to import an existing Solana wallet into the Solflare mobile app with a recovery phrase, a private key, or Quick Login, including Phantom wallets.

You can import any existing Solana wallet into the Solflare mobile app with its recovery phrase or its private key. Solflare supports any Solana recovery, regardless of which wallet created it, including [Phantom, Backpack, Jupiter, and MetaMask](https://help.solflare.com/en/articles/14430013).

{% hint style="warning" %}
Never enter your recovery phrase or private key on a website, in a form, or for someone claiming to be support. Only type it into the Solflare app itself.
{% endhint %}

#### New to Solflare: import with a recovery phrase

A recovery phrase imports every wallet created from it.

1. Open Solflare and tap **I already have a wallet**.

2. Choose **Recovery phrase**, then enter or paste your 12 or 24 words in the correct order, separated by spaces. If some wallets are missing after import, use **Advanced** to choose the [derivation path](https://help.solflare.com/en/articles/14430062) that holds them.

3. Set a 6-digit passcode, and turn on biometrics if you want.

4. Choose **Recovery phrase** (12 or 24 words, imports all linked wallets) or **Private key** (imports a single wallet).

#### Import with a private key

Use a private key when your old wallet lets you export one, but you do not have the recovery phrase. Export the key from your old wallet (in Phantom: **Settings → Manage Accounts → Show Private Key**). Then, in Solflare, follow the add-wallet steps above, choose **Private key**, enter a name, paste the key, and tap **Import**. The difference between the two credentials is explained in [What is a recovery phrase and private key?](https://help.solflare.com/en/articles/16291752)

#### Restore a Quick Login wallet

If you created your wallet with Quick Login, you can restore it on a new phone without typing a phrase. Choose **Google** or **Apple**, sign in with the same account, and enter your passcode. Hardware wallets are not part of the cloud backup and must be reconnected on each device. See [Import or restore a wallet with Quick Login](https://help.solflare.com/en/articles/16944012).

#### If the import fails

An "Invalid mnemonic phrase" error usually means a word is misspelled, out of order, or missing. See [Troubleshooting "Invalid Mnemonic Phrase"](https://help.solflare.com/en/articles/9264215).
